Clinical Pastoral Education Program
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is clinical training for ministers that focuses on: 
- Learning by providing spiritual care to persons in need
- Reflecting on that ministry with colleagues and supervisors
- Exploring theological issues, behavioral science theories and their integration
- Gaining information, perspectives and interpersonal skills that increase effectiveness in any ministry setting, whether in a congregation, parish, institution or agency
The Partnership for Clinical Pastoral Education Located in scenic Tampa Bay, The Partnership for Clinical Pastoral Education is a joint venture between Morton Plant Mease Health Care and Suncoast Hospice. Leaders in these two organizations envisioned and brought to reality a CPE program designed to meet the spiritual care needs among Pinellas County's more than one million residents. Leadership
- The Partnership is managed by a certified supervisor who is a member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
- A professional advisory group and an executive committee provide visionary leadership that spans Pinellas County and beyond.
- Pastoral leaders from Morton Plant Mease Health Care and Suncoast Hospice are actively involved in the success of the program.
Suncoast Hospice Suncoast Hospice is one of our nation's leading not-for-profit, community based providers of hospice and palliative care. The Hospice provides care for tens of thousands of people annually, and leads innovative service delivery, social change advocacy, technology development and other end-of-life initiatives. The Hospice goal is to help each person in our community find quality of life and live each day with meaning and purpose. The Hospice is constantly adding new programs and services to meet the community's changing needs. Care is provided by interdisciplinary teams working in a variety of care settings. Some teams specialize in at-home care, others specialize in facility-provided care - nursing homes and assisted living communities. The Suncoast Institute is also a nationally recognized provider of hospice educational resources.
